On January 16-17, 2025, the Learning and Teaching Innovation Center of Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized a workshop titled “Generative AI: Transforming Teaching and Learning: Essential Tools for Digital-Era Educators.” Held at Meeting Room E201 in the Common Learning and Basic Skills Development Building, Faculty of Economics, the event attracted a large number of educational personnel, academics, and interested individuals, aiming to provide them with a practical understanding and applicable skills in Generative AI technology.

The workshop was designed to build tangible skills and a deep understanding of Generative AI technology. Participants gained both knowledge and hands-on experience in several key areas, including:
- Effective Lesson Creation: Learning to use Generative AI to design lesson plans that meet the needs of digital-age learners, from setting learning objectives and creating engaging content to systematically analyzing and improving lesson plans.
- Using AI for Instructional Media Development: Discovering how to create diverse teaching materials such as worksheets, exams, illustrations, audio narrations, and simulations to enhance the engagement and effectiveness of teaching and learning.
- Professional Prompt Writing and Design: Practicing the design of appropriate commands (Prompts) to ensure AI responds accurately to specific needs, whether for generating instructional content or analyzing approaches to improve the teaching process.
- AI Best Practices and Legal Considerations: Understanding the policies and laws related to the use of AI in education, along with strategies to mitigate negative impacts and leverage AI for maximum benefit.
Participants also engaged in a hands-on workshop focused on using digital tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and develop a more engaging professional persona, all under the close guidance of experts.
